Vacation 2009

We recently just returned from our 2009 beach vacation.  We had a blast.  We rented a little one bedroom condo at our favorite beach, took the dogs, and just relaxed for a few days.  Jay ended up getting sick with a head cold/sinus infection but we made the best of it.  We got up each morning, cooked breakfast (with one pan mind you), then headed to the beach.  The dogs loved it!  Especially Chance because there was a big "pond" on the beach he could swim in and not get knocked around by the waves.  And boy did he swim!  He would bring us a ball or toy to throw and we would and he would swim out and get it.  Over and Over.  And over again.  We ate our traditional pizza on the beach one night and went out to dinner the other nights.  One night, we took our annual stroll on the pier.  About half way back down the pier, we stopped at this table where people were cleaning and filleting their catch from the day.  There was quite a crowd watching them and then looking over the side into the water.  I wondered "what is so interesting about this?" Well, let me just tell you.  One of them chucked a fish skeleton over the edge and what we saw next was INCREDIBLE!  As soon as it hit the water, 7-8 SHARKS came up to grab it.  IT. WAS. CRAZY!  We watched for a while (until they had no more) and the sharks kept coming back to the surface every time.  And we weren't that far from the shore.  Just past where the waves were breaking.  I will never.  EVER. Swim in the ocean again!  Jason LOVED it.  He, for some reason, loves sharks!  It was pretty amazing.  Anyway, we had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back next year (but won't be staying in the same place.  It had some... shall I say... problems.  Tub wouldn't drain, dirty carpet, one frying pan, etc...  So we're going to look for something else).  Here are a few pics from our trip:
