Something exciting is happening!! And the sad puppy...

We are getting ready to embark on an exciting trip (and no, I'm not pregnant!).  We are both thrilled and can't wait to share!!!  Stay tuned!!!

On another note, we have a sad story.  There's been this stray dog hanging out on our street for about 2 weeks.  He stays on our neighbors front porch most of the time... he has though come into our yard a few times.  We've tried to get close to him to pet him but he runs in the other direction if you get within 10 feet of him.  It's so sad.  I want to help him so bad.  We finally asked the neighbors if it was their dog and they said he wasn't.  They actually called the pound (NO!) but luckily for the dog, no one answered.  I would rather him run lose and wild than for the pound to pick him up and then euthanize him in a few days.  He's wearing a collar but no tags and appears to have been neutered... so he's SOMEONE's dog.  I've kept an eye out for missing dog posters and have been checking Lassie Come Home everyday... with no luck.  He looks so sad and I don't know where he is getting food or water... He was playing with a stick in their yard over the weekend but mostly he sits (with his tail tucked) and watches... It breaks my heart.  I hate it.  I want to help him so bad.  I'll keep you posted on his story.  Poor guy.
