It's been a while. Jay and I had a great weekend at the pool and helping my brother move. We took Chance & Salem to the pool with us. I think they really enjoy it- or just the time with us. They are so rotten it's ridiculous. Sunday we went to Boone to help my brother move. He moved from Vilas (just north of Boone) to a house in Banner Elk. The house is 1000 times better than the one he was in PLUS he has about 100 blueberry bushes in his front yard. YUM! Needless to say I think we will be going back soon to pick some blueberries! So Monday night I got irritated at our house. That's right, at our HOUSE. I'm tired of it. Tired of the way it's decorated, tired of the paint colors, just bored with it. Don't get me wrong- I'm so thankful to have a roof over my head and it IS a nice house- it just needs some change. So after whining to Jay, we decided to paint. We've painted every room in the house (when we moved in it was brand new and all white walls) except for the extra bedroom, office, and extra bathroom. So we went to Lowe's and bought some paint. We painted the extra bedroom the same beige as the rest of the house and the extra bathroom got a nice "Carolina Blue" color. I think it looks pretty good and I feel a little better. A little.
We also bought a collapsible crate for Chance for when we go to the beach. Needless to say, it's too small. Poor thing can't even lift his head so we're going to have to figure out something else. I've looked online and have found some things but I'm afraid to spend that much money (yes- they're EXPENSIVE) on something I can't touch before I buy. Any suggestions?
This weekend is 4th of July and Jason is off AGAIN! WOOHOO! His cousin Nikki is coming down from Massachusetts on Saturday to spend the night with us. (they are then headed to the beach- they aren't driving 13 hours to NC for one night with us- promise). We'll probably hang out and go to the fireworks at Lewisville. Jay also went to VA on Monday and bought some big fireworks. So I guess we'll be setting those off at our house... in the city limits... yes it's illegal. Yes I'm totally freaked out about the cops coming and arresting us. So- if your phone rings late Saturday night- it's the Azevedo's and we need to be bailed out of jail. We would appreciate your assistance. :-)
