Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

We have had a very busy couple of days!  Wow!  Jason was off on Friday, so I left work a little early and we headed to do some shopping... We went to Lowe's and finished up some Christmas shopping and looked at refridgerators... and well... we ended up buying one!  We got a great deal on it, and it's the one I've always wanted (freezer on the bottom, french doors, with ice through the door) so we just bought it.  We brought it home (because I'm too impatient to wait for it to be delivered) and it wouldn't fit in the front door... so Jay took the handles off... still wouldn't fit.  So needless to say we took all the doors off and finally got it in the house.  Very frustrating!  We got it in the kitchen and unloaded the old one.  Well... the OLD ONE wouldn't fit OUT the door so we had to take the doors off of it too!  My dad came over and helped up put them both back together.  We put the old one in the garage for now... not sure if we are going to sell it or keep it.  By the time we were done with that fiasco it was 7:00pm!  I wanted to get a tree so we loaded back up and went out to get a tree (and some dinner!).  We picked out a tree pretty quickly and WITHOUT fighting!  We usually end up in an argument about which one we like and are very indecisive... but this year we picked it and loaded it up.  While we were there I spotted THE BEST INVENTION EVER!  What is it you ask?  Well- it's a LONG funnel that you put in the tree and you use it to water the tree.  So instead of having to move all the gifts and crawl around on the floor and stick your head under the tree and try to avoid spilling water... you just stand by the tree, pour the water in the funnel, and then check the dip stick (yes- I said dip stick) and WAH LAH!  Tree is watered.  Awesome.  I. Love. IT.  We decorated the tree, while watching the grinch, of course.  Jay also put up the decorations outside on Friday as well.  So we are ready for Christmas!

Saturday night, Jay took me to see the Rockettes (which was very sweet of him because I knew he'd rather be anywhere else- hahaha!).  It was so much fun!  We haven't had a date night in a long time.  The tickets were pretty expensive but well worth it.  They put on a great show!  We sat in the upper level directly in front of the stage so the seats were perfect (and we just walked up and bought them!).  We did, however, end up in the middle of a dance studio's group... they were quite entertaining.  Imagine:  25 little girls ages 7-11 and their moms.  It was a hoot!  But anyway,  the show was wonderful and really helped to put us in the Christmas mood!  We grabbed some dessert at The Dessertery afterwards and came home and sat by the tree.  It was a wonderful night.  I love my husband!

So needless to say it's been a busy weekend but I have a feeling the rest of the month will be so I'll have lots to blog about!  There's: work Christmas dinner, Aunt Mary's party, Robin's graduation, Christmas, and New Year's.... stay tuned!
