Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving 2009 was unlike any Thanksgiving we've had before... why?  Well- I got sick.  Jason was sick earlier in the week, and as any other married couple knows, the spouse is bound to get it sooner or later.  He was out of work Monday and Tuesday.  I started feeling bad Wednesday afternoon and tried to shake it off.  I woke up Thursday morning and couldn't breath, was so congested, and just felt horrible.  Now... I don't know if you know this or not but I love Thanksgiving.  I really think it's my favorite holiday.  Just getting together with family and eating all the delicious food that you really only get once a year.  I knew that I couldn't be around anyone though.  I didn't want anyone else to get what we had.  My sister and grandma came over and picked up the stuff I had made for lunch.  They also came back later and brought us food.  It was so good but just not the same.  I'm so upset we missed Thanksgiving.  I wish we could wake up and do it all over again.  It just didn't feel like Thanksgiving.  I'm so glad Jay was home with me and took care of me.  He's the best husband ever.  I hated not being with my family though.  I talked to everyone on the phone and am thankful for that.  I still don't feel great today but hopefully I'll be able to kick this mess soon.  Jay's lasted about 2 days so I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll be on the mend.  He's off on Sunday and our plan is to start decorating for Christmas.  Stay tuned...
